White Page International Concept partners Niger Ministry on Bida Basin Development, Commends milestones achievement

The Niger State Ministry of Mineral Resources has received a delegation from White Page International Concept (WPIC) for a strategic engagement on the progress of the Bida Basin development projects.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Yunusa Nahauni, who chaired the meeting, provided an avenue to strengthen collaboration between the ministry and WPIC.
In his remarks, Alhaji Nahauni expressed appreciation to the delegation and urged them to build strong synergy with the ministry in advancing the state’s mineral and hydrocarbon development initiatives.
Responding, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of WPIC, Engr. (Dr.) Yakubu Mohammed, highlighted the purpose of the meeting as fostering partnership with the ministry, particularly in relation to the establishment of the Niger State Hydrocarbon and Solid Mineral Development Agency (NSHSDA).
He explained that the agency was created to coordinate hydrocarbon activities in the state, following the passage and gazetting of its bill.
According to him, the agency will also introduce innovative programmes to attract investors, boost government revenue, and generate employment opportunities for youths across the state and Nigeria at large.
He emphasized the importance of establishing a comprehensive documentation and investment information system that will provide investors with accurate volumetric data of the Bida Basin, thereby enhancing investor confidence.
Dr. Mohammed congratulated the Director General of NSHSDA, Dr. Ndajiya Abdullahi Nma on the successful passage of the agency’s bill, which has already received the governor’s assent.
In his remarks, Dr. Ndajiya appreciated the visit and reiterated that the development of a strong operational structure for the agency is central to its work plan.
He assured stakeholders that the NSHSDA is committed to driving the vision of transforming Niger State into a hub for hydrocarbon and solid mineral development.
