Day light armed robbery in Minna

It has been reported that a four-member gang of suspected armed robbers robbed a businessman simply identified as Salle and chatted away an unspecified huge amount of money from the victim.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday few minutes after eight o’clock in the morning at Tunga market in Minna, Niger state capital.

According to the victim, he had a business deal yesterday, Sunday at NNPC around the city gate; however, he collected money from the station this morning, which he was going to lodge in a bank before the robbery incident.

The eyewitness told Newsmen that the four gunmen blocked the vehicle of the victim with their Corolla car exactly around the congested Tunga market, opened the vehicle’s back seat and boot, and took away the valuables and zoomed off towards David Mark road to an unknown destination.

He added that the victim, who is an elderly person, looked confused and flabbergasted.

However, all efforts made to confirm from the Niger State command Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Wasiu Abiodun, were not successful as at the time of filing this report.
