By: Jabiru Hassan.
The Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi, has sent a heartfelt condolence message to the APC National Chairman, Nentewe Yilwatda, over the death of his mother. In the letter, the minister sympathizes with the National chairman and his family.
Umahi stated that “It is with deep compassion that I commiserate with the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on the transition to eternal glory of his dear mother, late Mama Lydia Yilwatda whose sad event occurred on 17th August 2025 at the age of 83 years”.
He added that “My dear National Chairman, I remember you in thoughts and prayers at this devastating moment. The death of a loved one no doubt comes with intense feelings of grief no matter the age. Your mother was an extraordinary woman who worked for the moral, social, and cognitive development of her children and who bore the brunt of their education with devotion, dignity, and courage”
“Although your dear mother left at a time when her motherly affection, prayers, and warmth are needed most, be consoled by the fact that she fought a battle of faith and departed gloriously. May the memories of her life and times bring you comfort and strength at this moment of grief and may her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen.
Please accept always the assurances of the esteemed regards, and best wishes of my family, the management and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works.
Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi, CON, FNSE, FNATE, Honourable Minister of Works.
