Gov Bago dedicates N500 Million for agricultural inputs

The Niger state governor, Umaru Mohammed Bago, through Niger Foods, has dedicated N500 million for the agricultural development of the Fulani Community in the state.
This was disclosed by the Governor alongside the Niger Foods team as the present harvest of vegetables from the Bago Ruga Ruga Pepper pilot fields in Tagwai, Minna, on Friday.
Governor Bago applauded the efforts of both Niger foods and Bago Ruga Ruga in promoting agricultural excellence.
Highlighting the government commitment, Governor announced the dedication of N500 Million through Niger Foods to support Fulani farmers in transitioning from exclusive cattle herding to crop cultivation.
Bago said this initiative is aimed at fostering economic resilience, improve food security and promoting modern agriculture across the state.
Earlier speaking, the Coordinator of Bago Ruga Ruga delegation, Alhaji Hassan Shiroro and Haj Nnawuro extended their gratitude to the Governor for his visionary leadership and unwavering support in transforming pastoral livelihoods through inclusive and sustainable farming opportunities.
Harvested items presented includes one basket each of the following chili pepper, Red bell pepper, Habanero pepper, Cayenne pepper and ugwu.
