Dr Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank AfDB has saluted the former President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, at the burial service of Mr Kola Adesina, CEO of Sahara Group, in Lagos.
On his verified X account, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), has indeed expressed admiration for Former President Goodluck Jonathan. According to him, Dr. Adesina referred to President Jonathan as his “boss for life,” highlighting the significant role Former President Jonathan played in his career, particularly for nominating him and supporting him for the position of President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 2015.
In his response, former President Dr Goodluck Jonathan expressed his pleasure over the great exploit of Adesina at the helm of the Africa Development Bank.
“I am very proud of you. You have done a great job! You have made Nigeria and Africa very proud.” Jonathan said.
Dr Adesina will be leaving the African Development Bank in July after ten years of his tenure.
Just last week, the outgoing President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Adesina, was awarded an honorary doctorate in the oldest university in Tanzania and a major road named after him by the Tanzanian government for the monumental development he brought to the country in his reign as the head of AfDB.
