This was made known through a statement made available to newsmen by the police public relations officer, PPRO, Henry Okoye.

To ensure the safety of all residents and visitors, the Commissioner of Police has ordered strategic security deployments and heightened police visibility across public spaces, worship centres, recreational venues, and major highways.

CP Danjuma also directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Commanders to intensify confidence-building patrols and maintain a high level of alertness.

He noted that operational assets, including intelligence teams, surveillance units, and other tactical resources, are being fully mobilized to guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.

The CP urged public members to remain law-abiding and vigilant throughout the festivities, encouraging them to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or via the emergency line: 0803 477 3600.
