The chairman noted that the meeting was between the Amirul Hajj, members of government delegation, agency’s board members, management staff and other staff of the agency.

The chairman said: “During the meeting, we informed the gathering that preparation for 2025 Hajj exercise has reached 90 per cent in terms of visa, yellow card, basic travel allowance (BTA), local committees here in the state and all other committees in Saudi Arabia, such as feeding, transport, pilgrims’ accommodation, publicity among other committees.

“To God Almighty be the glory, the meeting was conducted peacefully and successfully and all the attendees were satisfied with all our arrangement.”

Yaro-Enabo lauded His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for nominating committed and diligent personalities to serve as committee members, comprising Judges and other professionals, under the able leadership of Amirul Hajj, the Emir of Argungu.

Speaking during the inaugural meeting, the Amirul Hajj reiterated the commitment of the state government to improve the welfare of intending pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

Muhammad-Mera pledged to ensure improved welfare of the pilgrims while in the Holy Land.

While urging members of the board to serve diligently to ensure improved welfare of the pilgrims, the traditional rulers observed that success of the exercise solely depended on the level of commitment of the members.

The Emir appreciated His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu for giving him the opportunity to lead the 2025 Hajj exercise and promised to serve selflessly for the betterment of every pilgrim.

“Even though this is a herculean task but let me urge all members to work selflessly not for worldly benefits but for the reward in the hereafter.

“We should put fear of Alla in anything we do, and commit ourselves to uplift the status, dignity and image of our state,” he said.

The royal father called for closer collaboration between different government agencies to fast track sustainable social and economic development of the state.
