Several communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State came under attack late Saturday night as armed bandits reportedly raided and set homes ablaze, forcing scores of residents to flee their villages.
According to a post shared on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine, the affected areas include Biya Biki, Sabon Gari, Gobirawa, and Bayan Banki all within Tsafe LGA.
The analyst disclosed that terrified residents have begun fleeing to Yandoto, a nearby town, to seek refuge.
“Bandits attacked Tsafe LGA yesterday night and burnt down houses in Biya Biki, Sabon Gari, Gobirawa and Bayan Banki. People are now fleeing to Yandoto for safety,” Bakatsine wrote.
Security agencies are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
