Chief Eugene Okwuchukwu Okonkwo Nwizugbe (Anyanwu Igbo title) has applauded Governor Soludo’s commitment to ensuring adequate security of lives and property in the State.

Anyanwu Igbo, who made this statement on Friday, 17th of January 2025, in his office at Otolo, Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, said Soludo’s security initiative launched recently has restored peace and security in the State.

Nwizugbe disclosed that security in Anambra State and Nnewi, in particular, remained in good form because of the wonderful work Governor Soludo has been doing in the State, adding that Ken Emeakayi, appointed by the governor as Chief security adviser, has been doing wonderfully well.

He showed his satisfaction with the Anambra State House of Assembly’s adoption of a  new security law called “Agunaechemba.” He additionally credited the peaceful atmosphere during last year’s yuletide period to the Commissioner of Police, all Area Commanders, the DPOs, and some good individuals in the society “who see something and say something.”

Anyanwu Igbo noted that “if people see something and report it,” the insecurity problem would be a thing of the past.

He revealed that the root of crimes in the State must be linked to native doctors, who make charms for perpetrators, the PGs of all the communities, and chairmen of all the families who, according to him, were seeing something, yet they chose to close their eyes.

He advised every community to bring its report to the president of their community, the president would take it to the president of their quarter, the president of the quarter would take it to the President general, who would submit it to the security outfit, adding if they do so, police would effectively do their work.

Speaking on the forthcoming Nzuko Ora election, Anyanwu Igbo, as a strong stakeholder in Nnewi, said it would be the turn of the Otolo community to present the next Nzuko Ora president.

He said all the communities in Nnewi knew it was Otolo’s turn, precisely Nsunano in Otolo.

Nwizugbe called on the Nsunano community in Otolo, Nnewi, to fight for their right and take the mantle of leadership which has reached them.

Speaking on a suitable replacement for the vacant seat in the Red Chamber created by the unfortunate demise of Sen Ubah, Anyanwu said the APC candidate remained a suitable replacement, adding that Ubah died in APC.

Describing an APC aspirant in the contest, Hon Dozie Ikedife Jnr, Nwizugbe said, “Ikedife Jnr is qualified for the position,” adding that since late Ubah preached that they should belong to the center, APC remained the best option to achieve the dream of late Ubah, his brother.

“Dozie Ikedife has been in the corridors of power. He was a member of APC before Late Ubah joined. Ikedife is overqualified. We should allow APC to complete what Ubah started” he said.

Speaking on his business name, which is Igbos Gariki Market Nigeria Limited (IGM), Nwizugbe said all the regions in Nigeria need each other for the growth of the country.

He said one Nigeria has been in existence since the creation of Nigeria, adding that based on that, he came up with the business name IGM to be understood by all the regions.

He added that Nigeria remained incomplete without one of the regions.

“All of us are one, We must promote our regions individually. Make peace in your region because we face the same problem, which is insecurity,” he advised.
