The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, has lost his mother, Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, who passed away on Friday at the age of 78 after a brief illness.

Her death comes just days after the passing of another prominent figure, Princess Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri, also known as ‘Cash Madam.’

While details surrounding Alhaja Bankole’s death remain scarce, the news was shared by a close associate of Dimeji Bankole, Hakeem Akintunde, a journalist with Ogun State Television, on his Facebook page.

The late Iya Adini of Egbaland would be buried later today, following Solatul Asr (around 4 p.m.), at her husband’s residence in Oluwo, Abeokuta.
