Ambassador Kelvin Umoh YPP agent equally rejected the outcome stating that INEC did not follow due process in the conduct of the polls,

“I take the floor to vehemently register or displeasure of the result and also point out to the public that all our prediction prior to this election has seen the light of the day, from what Inec promise us that election will be transmitted in real time, as at this time that the results have been announced and winner to be declared, some of the result have not been uploaded, therefore I will not append my signature on this piece of paper, for the blood of people that were shed in Ibiono Ibom, and there where wild destruction of material in YPP stronghold, and voters were refused access to vote, again let me say this, some of the election were conducted in people houses in Ini and Uyo, ItuLGA.

“The stake holders of the ruling party mobilized people to vote in the houses, the result so presented and about to be announce violet and negets what our unit agent have transmitted to situation room. And so therefore it will be direct injustice for me to sign the result sheet.”  Umoh said.

APC agent, Mr Ekperikpe Ekpo also called for cancelation of the result adding that it was faculty and therefore he will not be a signatory to it.

“Election is all about representing the people, are we sure that way we are doing today is d results of the reflection and will of people across Akwa Ibomstate, or we are just doing the rituals of the normal election coalition, there was massive distraction of election material,

In Enugu State, the Labour Party governorship candidate in Enugu State, Barr. Chijioke Edeoga has rejected the result of the guber polls as announced by the collation officer from Nkanu East Local Government Area.

Edeoga, who spoke at a press conference Sunday night, asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to cancel the result in line with its guidelines.

He alleged that there were manipulations of the electoral process, especially over-voting and voter suppression.

The LP candidate said: “In most parts of Enugu State, the election was marred by obvious irregularities, but I want to focus specifically on Nkanu East Local Government Area.

“Nkanu East has produced two different results. The result that my agent signed, which is available, is far different from the result which was taken to INEC headquarters and is now a subject of controversy.

“I want to state categorically that the position of Nkanu East Local Government is that the result of Nkanu East cannot stand; it stands against reason, stands against common sense. It stands against the records available of what is the voting strength of Nkanu East and it stands against the number of voters that were accredited and the number of PVCs that were collected.

“So, the result of Nkanu East is not acceptable; it is not acceptable to the Labour Party and I call for its total cancellation, so that the due processes should be followed. At any point in time when the number of PVCs collected and accreditation do not tally with number of votes, one is enjoined to stay action and cross-check.

“Of course, you know that Udenu LGA, the electoral officer was whisked away and the results completely altered when she went in custody of INEC headquarters. What was collated in Udenu, that was going to be announced, is far different from what was announced when she was taken away.

“In virtually all the polling units, what was recorded is far different from what was uploaded. The PVCs collected and the accredited voters have no relationship at all with the votes ascribed to people.

“We are going to respond comprehensively, but I want to state categorically that the Labour Party and its governorship candidate in Enugu State do not accept the result of Nkanu East and we call for its cancellation. It is a flagrant abuse of the electoral process and such brigandage should not be allowed to stay; it is very injurious to every effort we are making to build a democratic system that is representative of the people’s will.”

In Ebonyi State, the Ebonyi State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Mrs Pauline Ugochi Onyekahas called for immediate review of the results emanating from Ishielu Local Government Area.

According to Ugochi, the reason for the review of Ishielu election results was due to complaints that the result sheets were tampered with by some persons.

She said, “They complained about the result sheets. We gave them replacement result sheets and they are still finding it difficult to get us right. We are of the opinion that the Sdmin Secretary and the Review Committee should look into it.

“They will continue to take it from what is contained in the INEC Result Election Vote, IREV. They will go through the result sheets and work on it, then come up with the results and where it fails to tally, we will cancel that Ishielu local government area election.

The INEC boss further stated that the declaration of a winner in the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly election will be MADE on Monday by 10:00am. ”
