‘Mavin is crashing!’ – Crayon explodes at Don Jazzy

Nigerian singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has ignited controversy online after launching a shocking attack on Michael Collins Ajereh, sparking rumours that he may be preparing to walk away from Mavin Records.

The singer took to X (formerly Twitter) in a string of emotional posts where he also criticised the leadership of the record label, including its chief operating officer, Tega Oghenejobo.

In one of the posts, Crayon appeared to mock Don Jazzy, writing, “Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333,” before turning his attention to Tega with a more aggressive remark, calling him “Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!”.

The singer further stirred controversy by alleging that he lost his mother because of the label, though he failed to provide further explanation for the claim.

Crayon, who joined Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint under Mavin Records, in May 2019, also issued a threat to the label, declaring in another post that “Mavin is going down!!!!!!”.

However, it remains unclear whether his X account was compromised, as he has continued posting normally on Instagram without indicating that the account had been hacked.

In another development, the singer recently shared details of what appears to be a new business venture called Olodum Entertainment, alongside a fresh booking email address on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile, speculation is growing online that Crayon’s newly released song Baami is now listed under the Olodum Entertainment imprint rather than being associated with the Mavin Records brand.
