Popular Nigerian singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka has publicly accused a social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, of allegedly defrauding him of $20,000.

The singer revealed on Monday that he handed over the money to Chioma for what was presented to him as a business opportunity.

According to Chike, the deal later began to look suspicious after the promised transaction failed to materialise.

He admitted that he realised too late that he might have fallen victim to a scam.

The singer warned his followers to stay away from doing business with the woman, suggesting that others might also be at risk.

Chike explained that the real problem was not the nature of the deal itself but the possibility that the business she claimed to run may not even exist.

He also disclosed that he has begun taking steps to recover the money he allegedly lost.

As of the time of filing this report, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili has not responded to the allegations.

Sharing his frustration online, Chike wrote: “Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, so you are a thief? That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money.

“$50,000 in the air. $20,000 of my hard earned money I didn’t see either. How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped. Even me I de laugh myself.

“Whatever business chioma sells to you is not the issue. The big issue here is that the business does not even exist, which then equates to fraud.”
