The veteran singer has publicly accused Yinka Ayefele and an emerging artiste, BBO, of lifting the melody from his original song “Seven Lifes” and repackaging it without permission.
Taking to X, he alleged that Ayefele’s 2012 track “My Faith in God (Igbagbo Ireti)” and BBO’s recent release “Amin” both mirror his composition.
“There was Yinka Ayefele… and now someone called BBO. Both stole their melodies,” he wrote, questioning when gospel musicians would begin respecting copyright.
Known for his culturally rooted storytelling, Beautiful Nubia framed the issue as more than personal, calling it a symptom of weak intellectual property ethics in the industry.
His claims have reignited debate over originality and copyright compliance, while both accused artistes remain silent.
