Nigeria’s Falconets have arrived in Abeokuta ahead of their crucial clash with Senegal’s Lionesses de la Téranga.

Moses Aduku’s side concluded the second phase of their preparations in Ibadan on Tuesday.

The Falconets had arrived in Ibadan from Abuja on January 27 as part of their build-up to the decisive encounter.

They tested their readiness with a friendly match last weekend, edging Nigeria Women Football League side FC Robo 2-1.

The fixture was relocated to Abeokuta after concerns were raised over the poor condition of the pitch at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

Saturday’s match is scheduled to kick off at 4pm Nigerian time.

Senegal’s Lionesses have also arrived in Abeokuta for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup third-round, first-leg qualifier.

The game will take place at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, following the late venue change.

The Senegalese team held their first training session on Wednesday night and will familiarise themselves with the stadium on Friday.

The winner of the tie will face the victor of the Guinea-Bissau versus Malawi fixture for a place at the World Cup in Poland later this year.
