The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16 Headquarters, Yenagoa, AIG Johnson Oluwole Adenola, psc and the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor, psc, IICFIP, foosi, carried out an on the spot assessment of Police checkpoints along the East–West Road in Bayelsa State.

During the exercise, the AIG and the Commissioner of Police dismantled illegal road blocks and warned officers against extortion and all forms of misconduct towards members of the public, especially along the expressway. They charged officers to remain professional while carrying out their lawful duties.

CP Iyamah Daniel Edebor stated that the exercise would be a routine, to checkmate the conduct of officers on the highways across the state.
