The State Director of Security Services has paid a condolence visit to the Sokoto State Police Command Headquarters following the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Kabir Abdu.

During the visit, the Director described the late DCP Abdu as a pivotal figure in Sokoto State’s security architecture, noting his invaluable contributions to inter-agency collaboration and his unwavering commitment to the safety and stability of the state.

He said the demise of the senior police officer represents a significant loss, not only to the Nigeria Police Force but to the entire security community in Sokoto. According to him, DCP Abdu played an irreplaceable role in fostering cooperation among security agencies, a factor he said was critical to maintaining peace and effective crime prevention in the state.

The condolence visit underscored the shared grief and solidarity among security agencies, while also reaffirming the importance of synergy and joint operations—principles the late officer consistently championed throughout his service.

Welcoming the delegation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Musa, expressed appreciation for the show of solidarity. He recalled DCP Abdu as “an outstanding officer whose service left a lasting impact on policing and public safety in Sokoto State.”

CP Musa added that the late DCP’s legacy of collaboration with sister security agencies and community stakeholders would continue to guide ongoing efforts to enhance security and sustain peace across the state.

The visit concluded with renewed assurances by security leaders to uphold the cooperative spirit exemplified by DCP Kabir Abdu in the collective quest to protect lives and property in Sokoto State.
