Kylian Mbappé humiliated Olympiacos in their own backyard, scoring four goals, including a seven-minute hat-trick, as Real Madrid escaped Athens with a chaotic 4-3 win that left the hosts wondering what hit them.

The French superstar terrorised the Greek defence with a first-half demolition job, instantly erasing the “surprise” opener from Chiquinho and making Olympiacos’ early confidence look naïve.

Mehdi Taremi’s strike after the break briefly reignited hope, but Mbappé’s fourth ultimately condemned Olympiacos to a heartbreaking loss despite a late surge led by Ayoub El Kaabi in a wild Champions League showdown.

Chiquinho’s early curler sent Athens into a frenzy, but that joy evaporated once Mbappé collected Vinícius Júnior’s pass and drilled home the equaliser as he’d simply gotten bored with the celebrations.

Then came the avalanche, Mbappé towering for a thunderous header from Arda Güler’s cross before casually completing his hat-trick via Eduardo Camavinga’s slicing pass, making Olympiacos look like mannequins on wheels.

Vinícius had a goal chalked off by VAR, and Aurélien Tchouaméni rattled the bar as Madrid threatened to bury the Greeks before halftime.

Olympiacos clawed one back through Taremi, whose header gave the home crowd false hope, only for Mbappé to poke in his fourth right before the hour mark because, apparently, three wasn’t enough.

Madrid then panicked their way to the finish line when El Kaabi powered in a header and Gabriel Strefezza almost forced a penalty in a frantic finale that had Madrid fans praying for the whistle.

Mbappé’s first-half xG was microscopic, but he turned nearly every touch into gold, firing five shots on target, each one a goal, and carving open a defence that never found an answer.

His hat-trick ranks among the fastest in Champions League history, and by full time, he had six shots and four goals, leaving Olympiacos to wonder how they outshot Madrid, out-tested their keeper, and still lost. Because sometimes greatness just bullies you.
