Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman has added another milestone to his season after clinching Atalanta’s Goal of the Month award for October.

The forward’s brilliant effort in the 1-1 draw against AC Milan earned him the club’s top honour after an overwhelming majority of fans cast their votes in his favour.

Lookman’s moment of brilliance came 10 minutes before halftime, when he controlled the ball inside the box and fired home a superb finish to pull Atalanta level. The strike, his first of the season, immediately stood out as a fan favourite.

The 28-year-old topped the poll with 53% of the votes, comfortably beating Marco Brescianini (20%) and Dominic Vavassori (19%), who finished second and third respectively.

Lookman has made seven Serie A appearances so far this campaign, and his award-winning goal has further strengthened his growing influence in Atalanta’s attack.
