Bayern flex again: Record €978m turnover as Hainer keeps his throne

While many European giants battle financial chaos, Bayern Munich are once again laughing their way to the bank, and the ballot box. The Bundesliga powerhouse announced a record-breaking turnover of €978.3 million ($1.13 billion) during their annual general meeting on Sunday, further cementing their reputation as one of the most financially disciplined clubs in world football.

The German champions also confirmed that president Herbert Hainer has been re-elected unopposed for a third three-year term, proof that stability still pays off in Bavaria.

According to the club, the new figures represent a 2.8% increase over last season’s revenue, despite global market pressures and a transfer landscape spiraling into madness. Bayern still managed to post a profit of €27.1 million, down from €43.1 million the previous year but still the kind of result most clubs can only dream of.

“Despite tumultuous times and a transfer market reaching new dimensions, we have once again achieved record turnover and posted a solid profit,” said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. “This demonstrates the exceptional strength and substance of our club. We are not volatile, Bayern is stable.”

If that wasn’t enough, Bayern also revealed that their membership has reached a record 432,500, the highest in the club’s history and more than any other football club in the world.

As ever, the Bavarians continue to be the model of how to dominate both on the pitch and in the boardroom, a far cry from the chaos and ownership crises plaguing rivals elsewhere.
