Head of the Solar Department at JRB Group, Engr. Prince Bernard, has lauded the creativity and intelligence of young Nigerian students who participated in the 2025 JRB Renewable Energy Essay Competition, describing their performance as a beacon of hope for the nation’s clean energy future.

Speaking to journalists after the award presentation, Engr. Bernard said he was thrilled to see “young, smart, and brilliant Nigerians” emerge as winners in a contest that encourages intellectual growth and innovation.

“I’m excited to see these young brilliant minds winning this award,” he said. “At JRB, we are intentional about building the next generation by funding initiatives that nurture the younger mind. People often fund what isn’t educational, but here we are, investing in something that will grow intelligence and creativity.”

He urged the participants to continue developing their ideas, adding that their innovation represents the kind of future Nigeria needs.

“Imagine a Nigeria filled with such brilliant minds — the future is bright,” he enthused.

Looking ahead, Engr. Bernard announced that Season 3 of the competition will be “bigger and better,” with plans already underway to expand the contest beyond the FCT to reach students nationwide.

“Season Three will be greater than the previous ones,” he assured. “We are planning a major expansion that will allow more young Nigerians to participate and showcase their potential.”

The JRB Renewable Energy Essay Competition, organized in partnership with the Rauf Badamosi Foundation, continues to spotlight innovative young thinkers driving conversations around sustainable energy solutions for Nigeria.
