Cristiano Ronaldo refuses to age, or slow down. The Portuguese icon, now sitting on a jaw-dropping 950 career goals, is edging ever closer to the mythical 1,000-goal mark, a record untouched in modern football history.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner struck again for Al Nassr, sealing a 2–0 win over Al Hazem and reminding the world that his hunger remains as fierce as ever. After the match, Ronaldo took to Instagram to celebrate in trademark fashion:
“Happy to help the team win and to hit 950 goals! Always hungry for more!”
“Hungry” feels like an understatement. With six goals in six appearances, the 39-year-old has been the driving force behind Al Nassr’s perfect start to the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League season. His side sits proudly at the top with 18 points, three clear of Al-Taawoun and eight ahead of defending champions Al-Ittihad.
While most players his age have long retired, Ronaldo continues to defy logic and limits. At the Portugal Football Globe Awards, where he received the inaugural Prestige Award, he revealed how even family pleas can’t tame his competitive fire.
“People, especially my family, say, ‘It’s time for you to stop. You’ve done everything.’ But I don’t think so,” Ronaldo said. “I’m still producing good things, helping my club and the national team, so why stop now?”
With 950 goals in his legendary career, spanning Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr, and Portugal, Ronaldo stands just 50 strikes away from reaching the unthinkable, 1,000 career goals.
Whether or not he hits that milestone, one thing is certain: Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t chasing records anymore, records are chasing him.
