Standard Times Nigeria mourns Niger State Correspondent, Tunde Bolaji, Aged 75

Standard Times Nigeria has expressed deep shock over the death of its Niger State Correspondent, Mr. Tunde Bolaji, who passed away yesterday in Minna after a brief illness.

In a condolence message signed by his colleagues in Minna, the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel described the late journalist as a consummate professional who carried out his duties with passion, brilliance, and a deep sense of responsibility.

“His tragic passing is not only a loss to his family and colleagues at Standard Times, but also to Nigeria, where his professionalism was always evident in national discourse,” the statement read in part.

The Chairman added that his memory would continue to inspire courage, patriotism, and excellence in the noble profession of journalism.

Meanwhile, the management of Standard Times has extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his colleagues in the media industry, and his loved ones, praying that God grants his soul eternal rest and gives his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

In a statement signed by the Executive Director of the company, Mrs. Florence Awoleke, she praised the deceased for his dedication and forthrightness and prayed for the repose of his soul.

“Despite his age, Mr. Bolaji remained a dedicated staff member whose reports were always balanced. May his soul rest in peace,” Awoleke said.
