The Kano State House of Assembly has officially received correspondence from His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, Executive Governor of Kano State.
The requests were presented during plenary by the Rt. Honourable Speaker, Jibril Ismail Falgore.
In a statement issued by the Speaker’s Spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Monday, the Governor, in accordance with the powers conferred upon him by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and established procedures, formally requested the kind consideration and approval of the Honourable House for the appointment of two commissioners and members of the State Executive Council as follows:
Albdulkarim Rabiu Maude, SAN – Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu, who until his nomination served as the Director General of the Kano Bureau of Statistics.
According to the Governor, the nominations were made based on merit, integrity, and a proven track record of excellence and competence in public service.
While presiding over the session, the Speaker announced that the nominees are scheduled to appear before the Honourable Chamber on Tuesday, 30th August, 2025, for screening and subsequent approval by the House.
