By: Ijeoma Sandra, Nnewi.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its Campaign Council to unseat the incumbent, Prof. Charles Soludo, in the November 8 Anambra gubernatorial election.

The inauguration, held at the state party headquarters in Awka on Tuesday, 23rd, had in attendance leaders of the party from across the country, stakeholders, and party faithful across the state.

The National Chairman of the party, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who was represented by the South East National Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, during the inauguration of the APC Anambra 2025 gubernatorial election Campaign Council, said they had all the resources to emerge victorious in the election.

He noted that they had selected the best people for the job and urged the Campaign Council to double their efforts to ensure victory on November 8.

He assured them that the party’s national leadership, the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, and President Bola Tinubu were strongly behind them.

He charged them to swing into action to ensure that all 5,720 polling units in Anambra State would be secured for the party.

He further announced that the party would officially flag off its National Campaign Council, which, according to him, would be greatly graced by top party leaders across the country.

He expressed his satisfaction with the Anambra State APC gubernatorial candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, and the defection of four Anambra Assembly members to the party.

Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the APC governorship candidate, said with the inauguration of the Campaign Council, victory was assured.

He pledged to revolutionize the agricultural value chain with insurance policies to promote farming in the state.

He promised Ndi Anambra a secure environment for investments if elected.

He further promised to establish a gas power plant in Anambra State and equip hospitals with life-saving machines and sufficient medical professionals.

Ukachukwu said Prof. Charles Soludo was too small to be talked about, adding that he had failed the people of Anambra State.

“I don’t talk about small people. We are coming to bring back Anambra’s lost glory; give us the opportunity.

“We want to secure, industrialize, and make the state an investment hub. Certificates do not make people who they are, but rather what they have inside,” he said.

Hon. Dozie Ikedife, the Director-General of the Council, promised to deliver Ukachukwu and Ekwunife as Governor and Deputy Governor on behalf of the members.
