National Examinations Council (NECO) has rewarded its staff across the Zonal and States as well as the headquarters for their productivity, hardiwork, dedication and excellence performance for the best students.
The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi made this known during the council’s organized 2024 Staff Productivity Awards held at Its headquarters in Minna.
Professor Ibrahim Wushishi also honor some retired staff with certificate of service in recognition of their commitment, contributions, dedication, loyalty and years of service to the council.
According to him, the 2024 award is categorized in to Certificate of Service to Staff Retirees, Most hardworking and dedicated staff of the year, and special awards for best state coordinator, best driver, and award of excellent performance for students across all the NECO examinations conducted within the period under review.
The Registrar however, recognized the contributions of all the stakeholders for the successful conducts of all the council activities in the last over three years of his administration.
He used the event to highlight his achievements to includes; successful conduct and release of its internal exams and results, transparent conduct of staff promotion exercise without rancor, development of ICT Software to achieve fairness.
Others are; training of staff, acquired components of Ps 900 series for OMR Scanning machines, procurement of complete set of all in one computer system for the 36 states and Abuja and Zonal offices, and purchase of e-Grenary data base to access e- resources by subject officers of NECO among others.
In his remarks, the speaker Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkin- Daji applauded the Registrar for his sagacity, perseverance and credibility for effective performance in NECO, who have showcased quality and integrity, however donated N1 million to the best students as recognized by the council.
The Award Committee Chairman, commended NECO for the recognition of numerous workers and students for the various awards to the recipients, saying that the awards will ginger them to do more in their respective areas of assignments, while assuring not to let the council down.
