Unknown gunmen ran over some communities in Niger barely seven days Gov Bago declared state bandit’s free

A repeat of what happened to a former Inspector General of Police (IGP) who went to the Borno state and announced that the days of the Boko Haram are numbered, and was followed back to back to the Police headquarters in Abuja where the place was Torched including the UN building.
In Niger state, Bandit’s in their numbers on motorcycles numbering over one thousand took over communities around Akere acid of Zungeru, Wushishi local governments area of the state, killing two including a vigilant.
This unfortunate is coming barely seven days the State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago boosted during an exclusive interview on a national television.
The governor during the interview confirming that the state was safe for investors and citizens to move around freely and no longer hungry existing in Niger state.
Community source revealed that the well armed miscreants estimated at two thousand stormed around ten o’clock in the morning of Thursday blocked Minna/ Kontagora highway at Kundu their usual route where security operatives could not halted their movement while crossing to Akere area towards Mashegu local council.
It was further gathered that the bandits shot three people killing one civilian and a vigilante while the other civilian has been rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
The local sources added that the number of casualties can not be immediately ascertained because scores are in the bush scampering for their safety.
A community leader who spoke on the condition of anonymity stated that this is the first time in history to see such influx of bandits carrying sophisticated weapons trooping in to the area in Niger state.
According to him, the tension of threat is enormous, stressing that the entire communities in that axis have been stranded in Zungeru town to include; old, young, women including pregnant persons and children to ensure safety of their lives.
The community leader however appealed to the state and federal governments to immediately swung into action by deploying security operatives to protect and safeguard the area in order to return to their various communities to embark on their activities.
When contacted, the Image Maker of the State Police command Surpol SP Wasiu Abiodun who could not confirm the development, promised to verify from Zungeru axis before reacting on the matter.
