A 30-year-old woman, Edna Otaroghene, has gone into hiding following her being declared wanted by the police over allegations of her involvement in bisexual affairs.

Edna Otaroghene, the police said, engaged in multiple same sex escapades despite being married to Mr Benjamin Otaroghene, both of Kokori village, Ethiope West local government area of Delta State.

When arrested, Edna is most likely to get a 14 years jail term in line with the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act, 2013 that has criminalized all same-sex sexual relationships in Nigeria.

A mother of two, Edna is faced with double jeopardy as her hyper promiscuous lifestyle has attracted parental intervention who have demanded the excision of her clitoris, a form of female circumcision which they believe would diminish her sexual urges and keep her in check.

Her distraught parents, Avegorhere Abel and Beauty Abel, had before her disappearance insisted on carrying out the circumcision on Edna and her daughters, owing to a proclamation that had duly sensitized the natives for the exercise,.

Her two innocent daughters, Trinity Otaroghene and Unique Otaroghene, aged three and five respectively, were also to be circumcised to prevent their growing into the promiscuous behaviour of their mother, Edna.

Credible sources say that Edna Otaroghene has vowed never to subject herself or her daughters to the female genital mutilation as demanded by her parents, preferring to run away with her children to an unknown destination.

The Police have, however, asked members of the public with useful information regarding Edna’s whereabouts to report it at the Sapele Police Divisional headquarters or any other police station across the country.
