The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in the Niger South Senatorial District of Niger state have officially endorsed Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term in office.

The announcement came during a special interactive session held in Bida, attended by representatives from each federal constituency within the district.

The gathering saw participation from a range of influential voices, including federal and state legislators, zonal and local government party officials, as well as prominent party members. Collectively, they praised the accomplishments of the “ governor,” highlighting his achievements as a strong justification for seeking re-election.

Speakers emphasized that a second term would enable Governor Bago to further consolidate his projects and initiatives, which they believe are vital for advancing the vision of a “New Niger” that benefits all citizens of the state.

In response to the endorsement, Governor Bago expressed his gratitude, calling the endorsement an immense honor.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing more democratic dividends, particularly through the Ward Development Project—a grassroots initiative aimed at fostering local development.

The Governor called upon all APC members in the Niger South region to unite and work diligently towards ensuring the party’s success in the upcoming local government elections.

The Niger South Senatorial District comprises three Federal Constituencies: Bida/Gbako/Katcha, Agaie/Lapai, and Lavun/Mokwa/Edati.

The stakeholders’ endorsement reflects a concerted effort to rally support for Governor Bago’s leadership as they look ahead to the electoral challenges of the near future.
