Group, known as the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), an apex sociopolitical youth group in the South East geopolitical zone, has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent appointment of Hon. Chief Nnanna Uzor Kalu as a Board Member of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).
The group’s appreciation was contained in a press statement, signed by Comrade Goodluck Ibem and Comrade Okey Nwaoru, President General and Publicity Secretary of the group respectively and made available to our reporter in Umuahia on Monday.
The group said that this pivotal appointment is a clear testament to the President’s commitment to recognizing merit and competence in governance.
“Hon. Chief Nnanna Uzor Kalu, a distinguished former three-term member of the Federal House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011, has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to national development and public service. His extensive experience and administrative excellence render him an outstanding choice for this sensitive and crucial role.
“As a revered leader, Hon. Kalu’s track record of effective representation and commitment to the welfare of his people is commendable. His deep understanding of legislative processes, coupled with his unwavering commitment to fostering growth and development in our nation, assures us that he will excel in his new position. We are confident that he will leverage his expertise to contribute positively to the National Assembly Service Commission and, by extension, to the overall advancement of our country,”the release stated.
The group said that the people of the South East are elated by this appointment, adding that the appointment highlights our region’s capacity to produce competent leaders but also reinforces our belief in the need for inclusivity and representation in national governance.
