Our attention has been drawn to a publication tagged: “Group carpets Kebbi Govt, hails Malami’s clean record” by a so-called Coalition of Arewa Civil Society Organisations (CASCO) attacking His Excellency, Gov. Nasir Idris and his Government.
The so-called group appeared to be political marchants who use propaganda for the purpose of deceiving their master (Malami) just to enrich themselves.
However, such publication will never be a path to securing victory for their master, instead, it will be a source of failure him.
We view this propaganda as a calculated attempt to distract the attention of the Governor from the good works he has been executing for the good people of Kebbi State.
Remember, people of Kebbi State are neither blind nor deaf, nor illiterate or coward either. The good people of Kebbi State are living witness of what the present administration achieved under the able leadership of the people’s governor in less than two years.
It is not out of place to unequivocally state that what Gov. Idris achieved in terms of infrastructure, human capital development and other developmental projects in Kebbi State far outweighed achievements of some governors’ eight (8) years in Nigeria.
We are proud to say that Gov. Idris has fulfilled over 95 per cent of his campaign promises. In some places he has gone beyond such promises by executing projects not even requested for.
As a man of the people, Gov. Idris spread his tentacles to all nuks and crannies of the state irrespective of area, section and creed with a view to delivering dividends of democracy to all.
It seems the so-called coalition is disconnected from Kebbi State and what is actually happening in the state.
Gov. Idris is somebody who doesn’t compromise standard in project execution, hence, all projects are being carried out according to specification.
Our amenable governor had been able to transformed the state capital, which hitherto was viewed as more of a glorified Local Government Headquarters.
He has been able to complete the Multi-billion Naira Ultramodern State Secretariat abandoned for about ten years, complete restructuring and revitalisation of Kebbi State Central Motor park, modernisation and reconstruction of township roads in all the four Emirates in the state, construction of township roads in many other towns and villages and construction and connecting many villages with one another.
Others are; total renovation of some general hospitals and equipping same with state-of-the-art facilities to curb over reliance on the state and federal teaching hospitals, construction of new schools and renovation of many others across the state to ensure conducive learning environment.
On agriculture, this administration since its inception has been supplying fertilisers free-of-charge to farmers to boost food production in the sate towards national food security as well supply of chemicals, other farming inputs and solar powered tillers water pumping machines to farmers among others.
All these are few achievements of Gov. Nasir Idris but I want to advise the author of this piece to always verify issues and support such piece with concrete and verifiable evidence before going to press.
Come to Kebbi State and see things for yourself, staying in Kaduna and Abuja to cook story will never yield the desired results.
