Communities needs to come together to foster peace, unity, development

The need for communities to come together to foster peace, unity and development has been stressed.

This informed Community leaders from the six wards of Jima, Doko, Gaba, Busu, Mambe and Kusotachin of Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State made the call at the end of a meeting held at Kuchi Gbako over the weekend.

Various speakers at the meeting identified regular round table discussions as a means to identifying challenges and proffering immediate solutions.

The communities leaders decry the level of communal conflicts as serious set backs to the economic and agricultural growth of various communities around the area.

However they community leaders appeal to parents to have and instill the fear of God in their children so that they can be good ambassadors of their communities

In their separate remarks the Ward Head of Jima Barr. Mohammed Nma Tsaadu and Etsu Dazhi Doko Alhaji Yahaya Abdullahi Madiu thanked the village heads for honouring the meeting and called for dialogue and traditional mechanisms of dispute resolution for sustainable peace among the people.
