Man raises alarm over harassment, threat to life

A middle aged man, Kolajo Adedayo, a resident of Ondo State has raised alarm over constant attack and threat by some group of gang to send him to his early grave if he fails to produce his brother, Ojo Ayojide Olufemi who had since relocate to the United States of America.

Speaking with our Correspondent from his hideout on Thursday, Adedayo explained that his travail began sometimes in February last year when some hardened gang members stormed his family residence in Ondo demanding for the whereabouts of his brother, Olufemi.

He said that the gang who came with cutlass and gun were asking him to produce his elder brother, Olufemi saying that they did a particular business with him but he failed to give them their own share before disappearing into thin air.

Adedayo revealed further that “despite telling them to be patient, that they should let me get in touch with my brother to know what is actually happening, the gang members descended on me, beat me blue black while my 85-year-old grandma, Mrs Mary Taiwo Ogunkande was also attacked.

“They forced their way into our apartment and made away with our electronic appliances like Television among others. It was only God that saved my grandma and myself from dying from the the injuries sustained during this deadly attack”

He listed one Eyitayo, Oba, Samson, Wale and Yinka as some of the members of this daredevil gang.

Adedayo said that he had reported the matter to the police but they have never been able to get any of them arrested.

He stated further that he had thought the worst was over until April 10, 2025 when this group stormed his residence around 1am claiming that they heard from reliable source that my brother, Olufemi just returned to the country and that they are no more interested in any money he wants to give them but his life.

Adedayo added that much as he tried to explain to them that his brother has never returned into the country, these criminal gang never believed him accusing him of hiding his brother.

He said “on this very fateful day
they shot into the air demanding that I produce my brother, Olufemi whom they said that he has returned into the country.

“My explanation that they were having wrong information did not go down well with them as they searched the whole building and when they found nothing, they came back to attack me accusing me of hiding my brother from them

“My neighbours however, alerted the local security guards and it was their intervention that saved me from almost being killed on that day

“But the gang while leaving on that day vowed to be back threatening that I and my brother should consider ourselves dead, that it is a matter of time. They even said that not even the security agencies could pose any threat to them”

He added that despite reporting the incident to the police no arrest has been made.

Adedayo said that he and his family had since been living in fear since the latest attack as it was quite evident that these marauders are hellbent on killing him and his brother for what they knew nothing of.

He urged the security agencies to come to his aid before it is too late.
