Empowering Women in Real Estate: Experts charge collaborative investment

Mojisola Afolayan, Executive Director of Founder Relive Housing Estate and author of “Chics Doing Real Estate,” has recently urged women to leverage real estate offers through resourceful collaboration with trustworthy partners.
This appeal was made during the launch of her book, where industry captains gathered to discuss women’s financial growth. The event, themed “Bold moves, lasting wealth: empowering women to own, invest and thrive in real estate,” featured discussions on the future of women in real estate.
According to Hon. Olufemi Pedro, who discuss on building wealth through co-investment & collaboration in real estate, said it involves creating a community of financially empowered women equipped with knowledge, skills, and resources. This sentiment was furthered echoed by Mrs. Omowunmi Idowu, who highlighted the importance of constant collaboration and wise investment in real estate. Idowu emphasized that determination and hard work are key to achieving one’s dreams in the industry.
Also, Prince Adeniyi Aromolaran, Executive Director of Enterprise Service at Lagos State Development and Property Corporation, stressed the importance of starting small, building connections, and fostering trustworthiness and reliable collaboration.
Other discussants, including Just Ibe and Mrs. Ifeoma, who respectively emphasized the need for women to support each other in breaking financial barriers. By doing so, they can create a ripple effect that transforms lives and communities. This message is consistent with the aim to empower women to take charge of their financial futures through real estate investing.
Earlier, Afolayan in her open remark said we must begin to build with a new kind of capacity. The mistakes of today should not be repeated tomorrow. The way we invest in real estate must evolve, we must stop waiting for perfect conditions before we act, if today were perfect, tomorrow would be unnecessary
Afolayan further announced that 40 apartments are available for investment, priced at 60 million naira each. However, these apartments can be co-owned by 10 people, with each contributing 6 million naira. This initiative is part of Afolayan’s efforts to encourage more women to join the real estate industry and advocate for women’s financial growth. By providing opportunities for women to invest in real estate, as the industry leaders hope to create a more inclusive and diverse industry.
The event which highlighted the essence of collaboration and support among women in real estate and to create a financial freedom and balance in their lives through real estate investing by sharing knowledge, resources, and experiences, which women can use to overcome challenges and achieve success in the industry.
