Ekiti: Table Tennis Association appreciates Gov Oyebanji for supporting U18 athletes

The Ekiti State Table Tennis Association has expressed deep appreciation to the state government, under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, for its unwavering support in sponsoring young athletes to the just-concluded South West U18 Games in Lagos.
The association acknowledged that the governor’s investment in sports development played a crucial role in the team’s impressive performance at the competition.
Ekiti’s table tennis stars returned home with multiple medals, with Bright Kolade securing three bronze medals in the Girls’ Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Girls’ Doubles categories.
Additionally, Okaraga Idowu and Elias Akeem won bronze in the Girls’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles events, respectively.
Commending the athletes, the association praised their dedication and hard work, attributing their achievements to the state’s continued commitment to nurturing young sporting talent.
The association also extended its gratitude to the Technical Advisor on Sports Development to the Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Olusola Osetoba, for her dedication to advancing the governor’s vision for sports in the state.
Officials further called for sustained investment in grassroots sports to ensure more young athletes have opportunities to compete and excel at higher levels.
Reaffirming its commitment to developing table tennis in the state, the association encouraged the athletes to build on their recent success and strive for even greater accomplishments in future tournaments.
