Members of the media in Kebbi State have commended the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu for distributing Ramadan Palliative to the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.
Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, gave the commendation while interacting with newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
He noted with satisfaction that a hand of fellowship had also been extended to the members of the pen in his Ramadan palliative to the people of the state.
“On behalf of the Government House Press Crew and members of Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kebbi State chapter, I wish to express gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu for his generosity and kindness to the members of the pen in this Ramadan season.
“This is the first of its kind in the history of Kebbi State that a former Governor and a serving minister is providing succor to the entire staff of Government House and also outside the Government House corridor.
“This singular act of kindness demonstrates your commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Kebbi State.
“Your gesture has also covered all the 21 Local Government Areas which has touched the lives of the masses at the grassroots. May Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly and bless your family,” he prayed.
Idris said members of the media were profoundly grateful to Almighty Allah for granting His grace to witness the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, which had gradually come to an end.
“May this fasting and devotion period be marked by good health, spiritual fulfillment, and divine blessings in you as Minister of Budget and Economic Planning and the entire people of the state.
“Ramadan is a period for devotion, dedication, and repentance to Allah. It is also a period for compassion and generosity toward humanity, and it is a season of spiritual rejuvenation, self-discipline, and empathy for the less fortunate.
“We thank you for being a shining example of selflessness and kindness. May your generosity bring joy and blessings to the people of Kebbi State and all Nigerians,” he prayed.
