Meanwhile, the committee carried out their functions, starting with Akaeze Development Center, where they inspected the construction of the magistrate courts building, grading and alteration of Nkwobo Ugwu Iyioji road, control of erosion menace at Amumaka road, among others, and expressed satisfaction with the level and standard of work being done.

The Committee applauded the Coordinator, Hon Barr Chinasa Okorie, and enjoined him to embark on more legacy projects that will put smiles into the faces of the people of the area.

The Committee Chairman, Hon Good Luck Obinna Mbam, frowned and condemned the culvert, the perimeter fencing at Echiele Secretariate, and drainage at Amaokwe that was inspected and described them as death traps and, therefore, ordered the Coordinator to remove them and embark on quality jobs.

At the Ivo Development Center, the committee was disgusted at the dirtiness of the development center and the scarcity of projects in the center.

The Committee then implored the coordinator, Hon. Aja Donatius Ikenna, to embark on projects that will give a facelift to the center and bring the expected happiness to the people.

Responding, the Coordinator of Akaeze Development Center Hon Barr Chinasa Okorie lamented the re-occurrence of the crises between the people of the areas despite the efforts by the government to put the place at rest and assured the committee that more efforts shall be employed including running to the state government for more assistance and more importantly making the warring people know the grievous consequences of war.

Barr Okorie took the committee around his projects and said that he just wanted to satisfy the needs of his people and make them see and enjoy the dividends of democracy.
