Niger Tornadoes piped Katsina United 1-0 to win first home away from home match

Williams Sunday’s Delightful Volley Seals A Scrappy Win For Tornadoes In continuation of the Nigeria Premier league.
In a nail-biting finish, the home Boys Nigeria Tornadoes secured a vital victory over a resilient Katsina United.
This is thanks to Sunday Williams’ breathtaking volley in the 85th minute, which proved to be the decisive winner.
Following consecutive defeats to Enyimba and Rivers United, Niger Tornadoes were under pressure to bounce back and halt their slump, especially at this critical juncture of the season.
A tough test awaited them in the form of Katsina United, who were also desperate to escape the relegation zone, making for a pivotal and potentially thrilling encounter.
It was an entertaining start to the game at the Lafia City as the two sides put their best foots forward in search of an early break through.
Adebambo and Sarki tried their luck at goal but unable to break the resilient Katsina United well-orchestrated defence line.
Niger Tornadoes were forced to make a substitution towards the end of first half as Ifeanyi Okechukwu who have suffered an injury, signaled for a change and was promptly replaced by Sunday Akinmoladun
It’s however ended scoreless at half time.
The Ikon Allah Boys tweaked their strategy in the second half, making tactical substitutions by bringing in Ifeanyi Okoye and Kufre Ebong for Daniel Akanbek and Adebambo Ademola.
The changes however proved effective, as Majin Mohammed’s team gained momentum, took control of the game, and forced the visiting team to adopt a more defensive stance.
Tornadoes’ bench made a final tactical switch, bringing on Williams Sunday for Abdulrasheed S Dabai.
The substitution proved instantaneously impactful as Williams unleashed a powerful volley from outside the box, shattering the deadlock and sending the stadium into raptures.
