‘I Won’t Repeat It’ – Dara publicly apologizes to Ijoba Lande over infidelity
Comedian Ijoba Lande’s wife, Darasimi, popularly known as Dara, has issued a heartfelt public apology following allegations of infidelity.
Speaking on the Talk to B podcast on Saturday, Dara expressed deep remorse and pleaded for Ijoba Lande’s forgiveness, acknowledging her mistake.
“Ijoba Lande, please don’t be upset with me. I also want to apologize to everyone I have disappointed, including Nigerians worldwide. This is not a reflection of who I am. I never intended for this to happen, and I promise never to make such a mistake again,” she said.
Her public plea follows appeals from actor Baba Tee and Mary Gold, who had earlier asked Ijoba Lande to forgive her.
Ijoba Lande had recently accused Baba Tee and some of his colleagues of having affairs with his wife. Initially, Baba Tee denied the allegations, but he later admitted to a brief sexual encounter (quickie) with Dara and issued a public apology.
Similarly, Mary Gold, who served as both Ijoba Lande’s manager and Dara’s close friend, confessed to facilitating a meeting between Dara and Baba Tee, where the alleged incident occurred. She also asked for his forgiveness.
The controversy has sparked widespread reactions, with many awaiting Ijoba Lande’s response to Dara’s public apology.
