Niger Tornadoes FC on away victory as Lobi Stars went down 2-0

Niger Tornadoes football club Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi confirmed their superiority as Lobi Stars’ of Markudi went down 2-0 in continuation of the NPFL match day 26.

Playing away, Tornadoes goals came from Daniel Akanbek and Victor Okoro, one in each half, sealed the win for the Ikon Allah Boys, who dominated the proceedings after a slow start.

The match began with both teams struggling to assert control, creating few chances in the opening exchanges.

However, Niger Tornadoes gradually gained momentum, with Ismail Sarki and Adebambo Adebayo consistently troubling the Lobi Stars defense.

The breakthrough came just before halftime when Ifeanyi Okechukwu’s pass found Adebambo, who squared the ball to Daniel Akanbek.

The latter expertly smashed home from close range, handing Niger Tornadoes the lead.

The Ikon Allah Boys continued to dictate the pace in the second half, and their efforts were rewarded with a second goal from Victor Okoro, who headed home from Abba Khalid pass to seal a 2-0 win for his team.

Despite a spirited late rally, Lobi Stars were unable to find the back of the net, succumbing to a disappointing defeat on their home turf.

This valuable away victory propels Niger Tornadoes up the NPFL table, moving to 8th position on the log from the 12th place, while Lobi Stars’ struggles continue.
