Nigerians Criticizes Mohbad’s Father For ‘Fighting’ Over Son’s Properties

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has sparked controversy after expressing frustration over his son’s properties being registered in the name of his grandson, Liam.

This development follows a recent court ruling that cleared controversial singer Naira Marley, his associate Sam Larry, and Prime Boy of any involvement in Mohbad’s death.

In a widely circulated video, Aloba revealed that Mohbad had acquired two hectares of land and several other plots through his mother-in-law, a police officer. He questioned why his late son chose to register the properties in Liam’s name, stating that he had never done the same for Mohbad.

The video has generated significant backlash online, with many Nigerians criticizing Aloba for his stance.

Reactions from Social Media Users:

@neefenawti: “I don’t agree with this man, and I think he is a terrible father. But if you look at it logically, why would a 26-year-old, still building his wealth, buy properties in his son’s name and give some documents to his mother-in-law? Something seems off.”

@MyBMWM8: “Did Mohbad know he was going soon? Many people do this. Is that why the father is upset?”

@JacobAmeh6: “Mohbad would have been a great father. May his soul rest in peace.”

@A_Abby_Abi: “Where I come from, fathers don’t inherit from their children. It’s the other way around.”

@kene_Valentine: “The level of shamelessness in this family is unbelievable.”

@chinwe_onyi: “This is so shameful. Someone should check on him.”

@sami_oamen: “Is this man clean? Why is he fighting over his late son’s properties?”

@dubbyofph: “If Mohbad’s father isn’t your father, count yourself lucky. You may have problems, but at least he’s not your father.”

@aco_mayana: “I don’t understand. Why is he upset that Mohbad bought land in Liam’s name? A real father wouldn’t react this way. It’s heartbreaking.”

The debate continues to stir reactions, with many questioning Aloba’s motives and expressing sympathy for Mohbad’s son.
