The former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA, expressed profound grief over her demise, describing it as a monumental loss to both Remoland and Ogun State. He hailed her as a vibrant lawmaker, grassroots politician, and a proud daughter of Remoland whose contributions have left an indelible mark.

“Ijaya’s death is heartbreaking,” Amosun said. “Her wealth of experience, expertise, and service was still greatly needed by her constituency, Ogun State, and the National Assembly. She was a remarkable lawmaker whose dedication to her people was unparalleled.”

Hon. Onanuga, a two-term legislator and the Deputy Chief Whip of the 10th House of Representatives was celebrated for her passion, diligence, and numerous achievements in public service.

In his message of condolence to the Onanuga family, the people of Remoland, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and her colleagues, Senator Amosun urged them to find solace in the impactful life she lived. He prayed for Allah (SWT) to grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus and asked for divine comfort for those mourning her loss.

Ijaya’s legacy of service, dedication, and love for her people will forever be cherished, leaving behind a void that will be hard to fill.
