Apanisile assumes role as new FMC Abeokuta Director, praises transparent appointment process, commits to advancing growth

The newly appointed Director of Administration at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Mr. Exodus Kehinde Apanisile, has commended the Federal Ministry of Health for its transparent and merit-based appointment process.
In a statement obtained by Medalinks News 24, Mr. Apanisile expressed gratitude to the Minister of State for Health, Hon. Isaiq Salako, and other key stakeholders, including directors Dr. Salahudeen, Ms. Tetshoma T. Dafeta, and Dr. (Mrs.) Adegoke, for ensuring a fair and rigorous selection process.
“I write on behalf of the entire members of staff and all labor unions at FMC Abeokuta to express our sincere appreciation to the Hon. Minister of State for Health and the directors for their instrumental efforts in upholding transparency throughout the process,” Mr. Apanisile noted.
Mr. Apanisile’s appointment, effective December 20, 2024, followed a competitive process involving interviews conducted by the Ministry of Health.
According to the appointment letter dated December 24, 2024, and signed on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, his performance during the selection process was pivotal to his emergence as the substantive Director of Administration.
“Following your performance at the interview conducted by the Ministry for the post of Director of Administration, I am directed to convey the approval of the Permanent Secretary for your appointment as the substantive Director of Administration, FMC Abeokuta,” the letter read.
Mr. Apanisile pledged to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in him, emphasizing his commitment to fostering peace, innovation, and growth at the institution.
The appointment has been met with optimism from staff and unions at FMC Abeokuta, who expressed confidence in Mr. Apanisile’s ability to drive transformative change.
