Moribund state owned media houses in Niger to get attention -Gov Bago

Niger state Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, has launched an initiatives aimed at repositioning the state-owned moribund media Houses.
This was made known by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamma.
The Commissioner spoke at the 2025 budget defend and screening exercise before the House Committee on Information at the Niger State House of Assembly Complex, Minna.
Accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and Directors of the Ministry, the Commissioner reiterated the ministry’s commitment towards effective information dissemination in conformity with the New Niger initiatives of the Governors’ Agenda to key sectors including; education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
The Chief information officer of the State also said, that the budget is more than just a financial document; it serves as a roadmap towards achieving the new Niger agenda.
She assured the Chairman and the committee members of the ministry’s commitments and dedication towards the implementation of the budget’s contents to the later.
The House Committee chairman, on Information and Member representing Lavun Local Government, Hon.Ndagi Baba underscored the importance of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) generating revenue streams to support the new Niger agenda.
He called on the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary to explore avenues to enhance the ministry’s revenue generation drive.
The Chairman, thanked the management and staff of the for their commitments and zeal to achieve the administration’s Agenda.
