Governor Bello brokers peace among warring Niger Community

Niger state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has intervened in the land dispute after reaching resolutions to end the lingering crisis in Ja’agi Community of Kede ward of Mokwa local government of the state.
The governor during a meeting at government house Minnawith the representatives of the community, warned the people to allowed peace to reign by resolving their differences amicably.
He directed the state deputy governor Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso to set up a committee for the assessment of destruction of properties during the crisis for the purpose of ensuring support to the victims.
The resolutions reached include; assessment of destroyed properties for compensation, all court cases and petitions should be withdraw, that representatives should talk to their groups to ensure peace and tranquility at home.
Others are, Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar should immediately appoint new village head for Ja’agi, that the up land belongs to the community while the low lands belongs to families and households as well as if the community refused to adhered to the resolutions the states government will take over the land.
The deputy governor Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso thanked the governor for timely intervention and appealed to the people to eschew bitterness and embrace peace, adding that he has made several interventions in the past to no avail contrary to the alleged perception and media reports.
Ketso urged the two warring factions to shield their swords for the purpose of peace, unity and progress of the people and the entire community.
The representatives at the meeting all signed the resolutions reached, however appreciated the intervention of governor Abubakar Sani Bello and his Deputy Ahmed Mohammed Ketsoin ensuring peace is restored to their community
