Black Saturday: 15 persons feared dead along Agaie/Lapaifederal highway.

The Chairman of Agaie local government area of Niger state, Alhaji Ibrahim Sayuti as “black Saturday” as no fewer than 15 persons lost their lives in a ghastly auto crash.
The accident occurred when a truck lost control and rammed into tanker drivers staying by the roadside due to the dilapidated state of Agaie-Lapai road, on Saturday, an eye witness said.
This is not the first time this is happening in this same year, we have had a scenario of tanker carrying petroleum product also loosing control and got burnt where many lives were lost.
The situation of the road also is affecting the economic activities of the local government and its sisters communities as that same road is the easiest route that links western Nigeria to Northern states.
The chairman Rt. Hon Ibrahim Halil Sayutihave however sympathizes with the diseased and also call on federal government to speed up the road construction currently on- going so as to protect the lives and property of his people.
Also the emir of Agaie HRH. Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu in a statement signed by the secretary of the emirate council announced that the funeral of those deceased that lost their lives will take place later in Agaie emirs palace.
