Afrocet Montgomery Calls for Holistic Approach in curbing Insecurity in Africa Region

Afrocet Montgomery, organiser Securex West Africa expo has called on government security agencies in the country, to adopt holistic approach in resolving the insecurity state of Africa Region.
The Regional Director of the group, George Pearson, made this call while delivering a welcome address at the opening ceremony of a three day security conference and exhibition held at Landmark event center, Lagos, on Tuesday.
Pearson noted that there is need for all security agencies in the region to develop holistic, collaborative, human security safety responses and deploy right technology resources, and skill of manpower to achieve a desired result.
He emphasized on need for all security agencies to be united in discharging their duties. Security Agencies such as Nigerian Navy, Air force, Police force among others, who were also present at the event were enjoined to be safety and security persistent, support common vision and aspirations for sociable peaceful prosperity.
The expo tagged with the theme “Reconnect With West Africa’s Security, Fire, Safety and Building Management Supply Chains” is expected to run through May 10-12, 2022, and was graced by dignitaries among whom are-HRH Olusegun Idowu Aderemi, Regional President OSHAssociation Nigeria; Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gamboa, Chief of Naval Staff, Nigerian Navy; Ben Llewellyn – Jones, British Deputy High Commissioner Lagos, Nigeria, represented by British Country Director, and Chairman Guardian Newspaper, Maiden Alex Ibru.
Returning for it’s 10th edition, after postponement for two years due to the Global fallout from the Covid – 19 pandemic the organisers are excited for what became a reality show for them.
George said ‘With the time since the last event we have been hard at work bringing in new elements to the show and refreshing the offering and we are glad it came to life.”
The launch of dedicated exhibition areas and conference themes aimed at the Fire, Safety, Smart Cities and Facilities Management industries was carried out by Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gamboa along side with HRH Olusegun IDOWU Aderemi.
This brought support the parent brand of Securex to provide a full 360 approach for public and private sector workers who manage the security and safety needs of their organisations, buildings or sites.
