ZAINAB JUNAID

Investigation has revealed that Airline Operators of Nigeria are neither relieved of their problem nor totally out of the mess they found themselves as they are again witnessing another phase of fuel Scarcity that looms the sector recently

One of the Airline’s passengers , Dana Air Passengers, have just experienced another flight cancelation/ delay due to Scarcity of fuel as claimed by the airline.

Dana Air had on its flight schedule status has depicted on its website canceled its flight 350 from Abuja(ABV) to Lagos (Los) scheduled for 22.10 on May 10, 2022; delayed another flight 356 from Abuja to Lagos and flight 344 Port Harcourt to Lagos respectively, initially scheduled for 23.00 and 23.20 same day.

The airline’s passengers are likely going to experience another flights cancelation on Wednesday May 11th, 2022 as depicted by the airline flight schedule status. It’s Los flight to ABV and that of LOS to PHC scheduled for 9.00, 10.00 am; flight 401 and 343 respectively are likely canceled due to same reason.

The more airlines experience Scarcity of the aviation fuel also known as JetA1, the more passengers should expect more of such experience.

Dana Air on this development, in a statement made available to journalists declared that the cancellations and delays of flights were as a result of Scarcity of JetA1 experienced across the airports in Nigeria, and in what seems to be its commitment towards offering a convenient
schedule for its passengers, the Airline said “It has never been in doubt and has always been centered on setting new standards in customer experience and redefining air travel and this communication is to reassure you that we have the commitment of our fuel partners to service our requirements, and that we will continue to offer you competitive fares for your business and leisure travels.”

Hope the issue of Aviation fuel Scarcity is resolved soon so that Air travellers can heave a sigh of relief.
