RESIGN IF YOU CAN NOT PROVIDE SECURITY – TUC TELLS BUHARI
The National President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Quadri Olaleye, has advised President, Muhammed Buhari to resign as the president of the country if he can not provide adequate security for lives and properties of Nigerians.
Comrade Olaleye came up with the advice yesterday at the burial service of the slain National Secretary of TUC held at Ogaminana, the headquarters of Adavi local government council of Kogi State, the country home of late comrade Musa – Lawal Ozigi.
According to the labour leader *“nobody is safe in this country again, our children can no longer go to school, you can not travel again and we can not close our two eyes when sleeping. If the president cannot provide security for all of us he should resign as president, if only our government has listened to the people about the worsening security situation in the country, we will not be in this mess. We voted for him and his party because he promised to resolve all the insecurity challenges but the reverse is the case today”*. He described late Ozigi as the engine room of the union.
The late National Secretary of TUC, Barrister Musa – Lawal Ozigi was killed alongside the Kwara State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrade Akin Akinsola, when bandits attacked the train conveying them and other passengers along Abuja – Kaduna.
The late scribe was buried according to Islamic rites with many dignitaries in the labour union circle in attendance.
