2023: Tension In Ogun APC As Amosun Asks Delegates To Be Prayerful

Another crisis is brewing in the Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressive Party as the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, asked delegates of the party to be prayerful about politics in the state ahead the 2023 election.
Amosun, who is the current senator for Ogun Central Senstorial District disclosed this when he visited the delegates to the APC National Convention in Abuja.
He implored to them to prayerful over the politics in the state in the next few weeks towards the 2023 election
The former governor stated this in a press statement by the Publicity Secretary of his factional APC, Wole Elegbede, when he visited the delegates on Sunday in Abuja.
Recalled that Amosun’s faction of the party lost the party structure in the state to the incumbent, governor Dapo Abiodun, the Governor Mai Bala Bunk led APC Caretaker Committee inaugurated Chief Yemi Sanusi as the authentic chairman of the party in the state.
But, the ex-governor, who came in company of Senator Tolu Odebiyi and Lekan Mustapha, representing Ogun West and East, asked the delegates to be prayerful for the kind true pictures that they will see in the state’s politics in the next few weeks.
“the Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District and the rallying point of APC in Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Sunday, March 27, 2022, visited the delegates to the APC National Convention in Abuja and beseeched them to be prayerful about politics in the state.
“Amosun who was accompanied by the two other senators from Ogun State, Senators Tolu Odebiyi and Lekan Mustapha of Ogun West and Ogun East Senatorial Districts respectively, said he was amazed by the sterling and strong support which the delegates demonstrated at the convention”.
“I am so proud and happy about you.Your standing amazes me. In the next few weeks we will see the true pictures of things of politics in the state”. the statement added
On his part, Amosun factional Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Derin Adebiyi, eulogised him for his consistency and gallantry in the politics of the state, stressing that he had shown leadership of worthy to be emulated
